What To Expect During Your Session
So....are you ready to get to work?
Once we have scheduled your session, we will work closely to pick the perfect location for our time together. There are so many wonderful places around our area, and we will chose one that will bring out the best in what you are looking to create. I am a lover of natural light, so I do prefer to work outdoors, but it's important to keep in mind that sometimes the greatest place to photograph is in your own home! If we decide to go somewhere out in the community, I will do my homework and visit that spot prior to our session to check the lighting and best places to work within that location.
It is very important that we communicate during the planning stages of your session so that we are on the same page as to what our direction is going to be once we get together. The best images are natural and you know yourself better than anyone. I will have many ideas, but I also want to hear what you have in mind for your experience. Together, we will map out a plan for great images!
We will take our time during your session. My goal is to showcase you in the best way possible. Your natural self is the best thing to bring with you. In addition to the portrait work, I will also be looking for those undirected moments that speak to your personality and your relationships. I love to push the edge of the photographic envelope by putting you in places and situations that bring out the emotion. I will photograph you from different angles, and perspectives. I might put you in the water or up in a tree. I may ask you to take off your shoes or kiss among the flowers. Get messy. Get dirty. Be natural. Be beautiful. But, most importantly, be you.
Sessions usually take their allotted time, if not a little bit longer. Once we are finished, I will begin the process of editing your images. I will build a private gallery to view your images on my website and email you the password by the end of the day of our session. Your entire collection will be completed within three weeks of our session. You will receive a disc of high-resolution, fully edited images with a print release that you will own and can print or share however you would like.
